Trys Steve hatt x2, jordan Grayson, Jake Blair,Leon Owen. Conversion Adam pedley x3.

The Panthers entertained local yorkshire league club mosbourough in there first home game of the season, with the pitch in excellent condition and a capacity crowd to entertain the only ingredient left was an entertaining game of rugby this could have been spoils by a strong wind blowing across the pitch and certainly gave a big advantage to the team with the wind at there backs!
It was mosbourough who got the wind advantage in the first half they took full advantage of this pinning Panthers back in there own half resulting in a well worked try within 4 minutes this set the tone for the first quarter of the game mosbourough dominating possession creating two more trys one converted both coming from scrums , this was a mixture of mosbourough big powerful pack and several key players missing from the Panthers engine room. The turning point came when Panthers again pinned back in there own 22 started to generate quick ball moving the big mosbourough pack around two simple quick passes gave Steve hatt a sniff of a chance out on the wing with nearly the whole pitch in front of him he showed that pace to beat his opposite wing and fullback scoring in the corner pedders slotting a great conversion from a tight angle and into the wind. The next score came from the Panthers and is credit to the work jeffo and G have been putting in on the training ground , again with the forewards generating quick ball the backs cut loose braking tackles and offloading the passes were accurate the support play was timed to perfection after at least 5 backs were involved jordan Grayson received the final pass to score under the posts again pedders converting.mosbourough responded with a great backs try of there own this also resulting in a yellow card for the Panthers fullback .

Half time score Panthers 14 - 22 mosbourough

With the wind at there backs the Panthers needed to take advantage of this and hopefully reduce the halftime lead gained by mosbourough the breakthrough came 5minutes into the second half Jake Blair getting on the end of some slick backs moves to score in the corner, with the wind in their faces the big mosbourough pack looked to be tiring with the Panthers now breaking the gain line Leon Owen an inside centre playing 8 crashed through to score under the posts peders converting. At this stage mosbourough rallied Panthers having to defend for a stint this backs to the wall stuff just kept out the away team keeping them to a zero score line in the second half !
The game was sealed when again slick hands from the backs put Steve hatt in the corner for his second try of the day.

Final score Panthers 31 - 22 mosbourough
