Chesterfield Panthers beat Longeaton 64 points to 25

Panthers overcame visitors Longeaton in the first round of the Derbyshire Shield. The outcome of the match was never in doubt with the Panthers in front by 40 points to 10 at the interval. Panthers failed to dominate the second half and allowed Longeaton to pull back three tries. Despite all their effort this was never going to be enough and Panthers replied with a further 24 points. Man of the match for Panthers was Ant Barnett.
