Chesterfield Panthers make it six wins on the trot with a 20 point to 3 win over Nottinghamians.

Travel chaos meant that Panthers arrived late for the kick of but thanks to the referee and Nottinghamians generosity they managed to get all players there for a delayed start. Having no warm up time and playing a vastly different Hamians side Panthers where on the back-foot from the start. But after a nervy opening phase they soon got into their stride. Mr Versatile Franck Derrien stepped up and produced a great penalty to open the score. Hamians responded likewise and tied it up at three all. The only try of the first half came from man of the match Ricky Poulter. Panthers in front 8 point to 3 at the interval.
Despite some intense pressure from the home side Panthers never really looked threatened. The Panther pack more than held their own with Callum Draycott outstanding. Eddie Williams at eight had a magnificent game, spoilt only by a silly yellow card. As it was even a man short Panthers inflicted further damage with a great try from Tye Rose. David Simm back after a long absence added the final score with probably the easiest try he ever scored.
Credit to Nottinghamians who never gave up and contributed to a great game. They are certainly a far better side than their league position.
Next Saturday Panthers are at home against Skegness in the final league game.
