TUPTON TAKE THE SPOILS IN CLOSE FOUGHT LOCAL DERBY

Chesterfield regained the lead with Leon Owen intercepting a pass from tupton 10 scoring between the posts pedders converting. Tupton responded with a try in the corner,final score of the first half was from jordan pedders unlucky in hitting the posts which would become a deciding factor in the final outcome.

Tupton hit the ground running with 2 unconverted tries in 25 minutes giving them the lead. Chesterfield responded with a well worked Tom Arnold try pedders converting to take what looked to be the winning lead back. But despite several opportunities to close out the game and seal the victory a combination of poor game management and execution allowed the visitors one final chance in the closing seconds of the game that they took.
