On what can be described as the best day's weather this year, Panthers 2's took on Mosborough's 2's in what looked like to be an even game.
Panthers decided from the off to run the ball as run as possible and with quick ball out to their wingers this was repaid with great results, with early tries from Phil Cawthorne and Oli Thomas. Great play in the forwards produced some quick running and off loading within the forwards and this produced a great try for James Kennedy, Scott Widdowson got in on the act with a good try converted by Chris Cooper. To cap a fantastic first half Capt Rich Keeling scored under the posts and converted himself to make it 29-0 at half time.

A lapse in concentration allowed Mosborough the chance to find some gaps, and they didnt disappoint and took their chance very well, Panthers came back fast with a great straight run from Tom Arnold close to the line and powered over depsite having several defenders hanging from him, Rich Keeling converted, Jake Blair scored a try from breaking the gap in the centres, and then Chris Cooper's scored the next from a cheeky chip and chase, two wicked bounces deceived the defender allowing Chris to easily score.
From a series of pick and drives Panthers got their selves within Mosbrough's 22m line, and Lee Laughton had the ball popped to him short and he charged for the line, the defenders didnt fancy tackling Lee and the score was easy for him converted by Ian. Mosborough's Captain gathered his players, gave them a talk and they came out firing and from a good period of pressure they produced and driving maul from a well worked lineout to score in the corner, an excellent catch and drive and well worth the score. The final try come from Jack Short for Rich Keeling to convert.
Final score was 60-10, man of the match was Oli Thomas, DOD goes to Mongy for his 'lets have it' kick. Sterling work from the front 3 and all the pack, great effort from the backs who worked really well together, the training is paying off.
Many thanks to Phil C for playing for Mosborough when they were short, the referee for being there, and the tremendous support from the crowd on the bank.
Well done to all.
