Chesterfield ladies travelled down the M1 anticipating a very difficult match against the well schooled Loughborough side. From the whistle the chesterfield forwards dominated in rucks and mauls putting Loughborough on there back foot. Minor mistakes gave Loughborough’s backs the opportunity to show there tremendous pace and run away with the ball, not disconcerted the chesterfield pack evened the score from a tremendous effort by Cath Wynn aided by Yolande Dixon. Half time change around brought bad luck for chesterfield as the Loughborough winger ran in two consecutive tries in as many minutes!. Chesterfield were camped in the other half for all of the second half but the tries weren’t forthcoming .Until quick thinking gave Kim Hyslop the chance to storm over for her second try of the half. Forward of the match was Kirsty Ritchie and back of the match was awarded to Rachel Lum Wai who put in an outstanding effort in her last game with chesterfield as she is leaving us to persue a new career in London . We wish all the best as she will be sorely missed by everyone.
