Do you want to try out Girls Rugby?

If you answered YES to these questions then we need YOU!

We are running a taster session of girls rugby for potential players in the U12s age group.

The taster session will run from 1-3pm, and will include an introduction to rugby - running with the ball, passing, catching, kicking & tackling!
This is a free session for any girls in Years 6 & 7 who want to give it a try. If you can find a pair of boots and a gumshield then please bring along with some water and suitable clothes/sportswear.

The U12s are a new team at Chesterfield Panthers for this season and are looking to grow and recruit in as many new players as possible - all are welcome. The team have training on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm - 8.00pm and play matches on (most) Sunday afternoons (~1pm).

Girls rugby is CONTACT rugby and the rules are the same as the boys:

• Team numbers: 12 a-side
• pitch size: 60 metres x 43 metres
• Ball Size: 4
• minutes each half: 20
• Contested strike in SCRUM
• Nearest 5 players in a scrum
• No limit on numbers contesting for the ball including in the maul and ruck
• Hand off below the armpits
