Rotherham Match Report

Firstly a big thank you to Joe and Seth from Rotherham U8's for helping us out making up the numbers on Sunday morning, I know Daisy and the rest of the team appreciated you helping us out as you did.

Although struggling for numbers on this cold November morning, and with the assistance of 2 Rotherham players, the players soon warmed up with both teams showing good skills in both defensive and attacking aspects of the game. Chesterfield were soon off the mark showing strong running and support work before moving the ball wide to make an early breakthrough. It was encouraging to see the development of the players working especially well as a team, supporting each other well once tagged and continually providing passing options to the tagged player.

Aaron Browne continued with his trademark weaving runs and spins and bravely played on after taking several knocks in the process. William Bygrave was his usual effective and acrobatic self in trying to tag the opposition and Daisy Lord, leading by example, once again ignited the after burners with some fine try scoring runs.
