Another welcome sunny Sunday morning brought out the players, if not all the coaches, for the away trip to Mosborough.

With games against both Mosborough and Rotherham, Panthers U8s were kept busy as both games proved to be evenly matched and competitive this weekend, whilst also demonstrating that several of these players are now eagerly awaiting moving on to a little more contact next year.

A big thanks to Edward Frear for playing in the U8s team to make up the numbers, and it would seem that he is ready for next year and the chance to dive in for those tries (it's trying to stop him this year that's been the problem).

William Bygrave and Daisy Lord both showed their usual turn of pace and vision made full use of any gaps left by the opposition, and Aaron Browne finished of some moves very effectively, even without his usual array of twirls.

Good running and support work from the Panthers lead to tries from every member of the team over the course of the two games, and Alfie Wilson managed his usual trick of trying to score over the side line as opposed to the try line, but once he'd gathered his sense of direction managed to touch down in the right area. Even Joshua Bagshaw got in on the try scoring action eventually touching down in the second game after an elusive run virtually the full length of the pitch.

Great running from all the players and it's been noticeable how much the support play has improved over the season, we just need to work on getting those tags a bit more in defense.

Unfortunately 'Sicknote' Avenier could not make it, he'll hopefully have recovered from his poorly head/poorly knee/poorly shoulder in time for the awards event on the 18th May. (I will forward more details this week)
