Let us start with the weather it was cold with a capital C with some players being difficult/ tired i.e. mine.
Ben, Garvin, Dave, and Andrew warmed up the kids with passing and running routines.
So, what I would love to say this week is that the Bakewell and the Panthers both fielded several strong capable teams. Whilst Panthers managed to field 2 strong teams of capable players, Bakewell’s numbers were a little limited. However, they did field George, an energetic young player, who even though he was alone in flying the Bakewell U8s flag, joined in, played several games, and more importantly enjoyed himself.
Garvin looked like he enjoyed handing out his new bibs.
Support and passing is improving and some of the runs today were truly impressive, whilst others enjoy running rather than passing.
Archie and Rob were mentioned on several occasions, but all Panthers played well and for some reason Garvin is no longer shouting forward “to the horror of the match reporter”.
Lewis again is on £4:50 to keep the supporters updated.
In the biting cold Ben, Garvin, David, Richard, and Andrew made the game possible.

Thanks to everyone who could make it yesterday, plenty of running rugby on display with some lovely support play to go with it. Next step is trying to run a little straighter and pass to our team mates who have worked so hard to support us, who knows, maybe we could even try passing before we’ve been tagged on occasion… Defence, as ever, is an area to work on, and a little more communication between players can only help in that department. I’d also like to welcome Caleb, Vincent and Oliver, all recent new recruits who put in some great performances yesterday adding to the strong squad we already possess, great work guys. Thanks, Ben
