Panthers v Tupton ?

We were due to play Tupton this morning, but for some unknown reason they cancelled at the last minute during the week.
I think they had heard about our amazing players and are running scared - well, who can blame them?

Thankfully, we had a good morning of weather which allowed us to have a full training session and the 2nd week of "contact".
After some "free swim" and warm up games (scarecrow tag & 4 corner touch) we moved on to the contact elements.Paired up the kids, got into a bit of wrestling competitions, turtle turns followed by learning the side tackle.Fair play to all the kids, there was noone being shy and all gave it a turn being tackeled and making a tackle!We moved from this into 2 small sided games of walking rugby (4v4) and it was good to see them making those side tackles that they had just practiced. The competitive sides came out as some walkers went full olympic mode (walking like a sprint - you know who you are!).The session ended with a game of walking tackle-dog, a bulldog variation with walking and plenty of side tackles.

After the session the kids all observed a minutes silence for Remembrance Sunday - they were very well behaved and I was very proud of their behaviour.
